Radio Frequency
Closure
Varicose Vein Treatments Are Available at the Vein & Skin
Care Institute, St. Louis, Missouri.
Radio
Frequency Closure is minimally invasive. Closure quickly normalizes
venous blood pressure in a treated leg. This typically results
in a reduction or elimination of pain or swelling associated
with varicose veins.

Radio
Frequency ClosureŽ
A minimally - invasive
surgical procedure that uses radio frequency energy to occlude,
or close, the saphenous vein running down the inside of the
leg. Once the diseased vein is closed, healthy veins take over,
and normal blood flow returns to the leg, allowing the swelling,
pain and discoloration to improve noticeably. After the procedure,
a compression garment is worn for several weeks to aid healing.
Patients can resume normal activities in one to two days but
must refrain from strenuous activities, prolonged standing and
heavy lifting for a few weeks.
A consultation is necessary to determine if treatment using
Radio Frequency Closure is right for you. During your consultation
we will recommend a detailed plan, answer any of your questions,
and discuss involved costs and possible insurance reimbursement.
The
decision to have radio frequency closure will depend on your
symptoms. We will thoroughly assess your condition and offer
state-of-the-art therapy with excellent patient follow up. We
will help you to understand your condition and select a course
of treatment that will deliver outstanding cosmetic and medical
results.
